Business Development and Sales
This is a new opening for a creative and proactive Director of Business Development & Sales to further develop our brand and create new relationships and opportunities. In this position, you will have the exciting opportunity to drive growth that enables companies to operate optimally as well as to help shape the future of UMS Group’s offerings.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities via existing contacts and prospecting; build relationships with potential clients, giving initial presentations and opening the door for a product expert to support more detailed presentations and demonstrations
- Manage the sales cycle from initiation through close – responsible for quarterly targets with base plus commission structure
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Network and connect with relevant industry associations and committees
- In addition to main focus on software product / tool sales, identify consulting services opportunities as needed or as relevant pain points are identified with a potential client that our services can address
- Establish and grow marketing initiatives to support existing and developing software and tools
- Create and deliver a strategic marketing plan to grow brand awareness and sales. This includes:
– Attendance and speaking at key regional conferences & industry events
– Regional campaigns to build brand awareness & generate sales leads
– Identify key accounts in target market segments across the region
– Create regional content for external publications and social media
– Work with product management to develop presentations and collateral
– Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
Requirements/Skills:

Senior Consulting Project Managers
UMS Group is looking for people that understand the utility industry, and have substantial prior experience in managing consulting projects with a track record of delivering on time, on budget, with delighted customers, and substantial innovation and new IP development on each project.
The successful candidate should be able to cultivate and sustain client relationships at the executive level and have a demonstrated history of being able to identify, propose and close on follow-up opportunities within the project client organization.
It is also critically important to be able to manage less tangible factors such as strategic intent, political sensitivities, inter-personal alignment, and motivation issues and able to quickly identify intrinsic opportunities to extrapolate client projects into products and templates that can be used on other client engagements.

.NET SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS DEVELOPER (MANILA)
We are looking for passionate and creative developers to join our support team for our Spend Optimization Suite application. The Software Developer will perform programming and help provide the overall technical vision/direction. The Spend Optimization Suite, or SOS, is a risk management and investment planning application, helping large companies to set their optimal budget to mitigate risk and maximize value, aligned with company strategy and priorities.
The SOS has a global user base; the application is comprised of three .Net modules and one Excel module. The SOS programming team supports existing users and develops new functionality to expand and improve the .Net modules. The team works closely with management staff of the US-based SOS Product Group. Although the SOS team has been operating for over 5 years, this position affords a unique opportunity to work in an exciting start-up type environment within an established company, with opportunities for significant contribution and to truly make an impact on the application and processes. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Key team member along with 4+ other programmers (including Team Lead), helping to manage daily work and delivery schedules.
- Help provide technical vision and direction for the development, design, and systems integration for application development and client engagement from definition phase through implementation.
- Apply significant knowledge of IT/software industry trends and developments to improve application.
- Perform analysis, design, and development of SOS application utilizing primarily C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, DevExpress, and Oracle.

- Perform unit testing of software.

MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS
UMS Group is looking for talented personnel with 2 to 4 years of industry experience (or equivalent through the military) and a strong technical orientation who are looking for an opportunity to apply their problem-solving abilities to management consulting for the utility industry.
