Ed joined UMS Group Europe In 2007. He has over 20 years of international consulting and management experience serving the energy and utility sector and has significant in-depth knowledge of the international utilities sector. Ed fulfilled different positions as manager in major Energy and Utility companies, as well as different senior roles in international management consulting firms.
His current focus area is in the Energy Transition, especially in the area of Strategic Asset Management. He is supporting his business partners understanding the impact of digitalization and guiding them in the transformation towards “Data driven Asset Management”.
Prior to UMS Group Ed fulfilled managerial roles within an Energy Utility company and management consulting roles within a global ICT company. His drivers are to understand complex situations, design pragmatic solutions and embedding these into the organizations. Ed holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration (Management of Innovation) from the Rotterdam School of management, Erasmus University and a Bachelor degree in Engineering.
Mike joined UMS Group Europe in 2014 as Director and is providing strategic and tactical project management on value chain enhancement and is empowering UMS Group in the German speaking markets.
He has in depth knowledge in energy transport and distribution concerning asset management, regulation and sales processes. Furthermore he is member of the German part of ISO/TC251 Asset Management and is acknowledged as one of the Drivers of Asset Management in the DACH region. Prior to UMS Group, Mike was in various positions within the E.ON corporation and new market entrants.
Mike holds a university degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Dortmund.
Diego is the Director for our Scandinavia region at UMS Group Europe and an experienced management consultant, advising energy sector organisations on how to improve their overall performance by using PAS 55 and ISO55000 standards for optimal management of their physical assets.
Diego has worked within many areas connected to Asset Management within the energy sector, e.g. IT development projects, mergers & acquisitions, divestments, corporate strategy, asset management strategy and strategic investment procurement.He has worked with many parts of the energy sector, e.g. nuclear power generation, hydro power organisations, wind power, thermal power, electricity distribution, heat generation and distribution in many European countries.
He has most often acted as project manager for large multinational process improvement and change management projects, specifically within the Asset Management area.
Indraneel (Indy) has nearly 20 years of consulting and management experience serving the financial services and aviation infrastructure sectors across UK, South Africa and Asia. His focus areas are strategic overview and advisory, asset management & financial evaluation, regulatory compliance and organisational change. He also has expertise in operational and financial due diligence, project finance and sponsorship investment evaluation.
Prior to joining UMS Group Indy held various managerial roles within companies covering UK Aviation Infrastructure, insurance, investment banking and management consultancy. This experience includes being responsible for the creation of an asset management division within a PPP enterprise as part of the founding core leadership team.
Johan Huisma is a self-employed consultant and interim manager and since 2010 associate of UMS Group Europe. On behalf of UMS Group he is managing the global program ITAMS (International Transmission Asset Management Study). His focus area is Asset Management and restructuring programs in the energy and utilities markets. Johan has been Senior Manager Asset Management at Enexis B.V. (2001-2004) and TenneT TSO B.V. (2004-2008). At both companies he was responsible for the implementation of risk based asset management (RBAM). Johan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Liesbeth is Senior Associate at UMS Group Europe. Liesbeth is a team player who enjoys supporting and coaching others. She is results-oriented and has developed a good balance between being human and task oriented. She is enthusiastic and creative in approaching and solving issues and is also inquisitive, analytical and open to innovation.
She has more than a decade’s worth of experience in international consulting for a global range of electricity and gas utility firms. She has focused on strategy projects and implementation of strategic asset management. She has extensive knowledge and experiences in the areas of implementing management systems PAS 55, ISO 55000 and NTA 8120, strategic asset management, asset risk and portfolio management, change management and project management. She is Endorsed IAM Assessor and performed numerous ISO 55000/PAS 55 assessments, -transformation programs and training sessions, at a.o CEM Macau, DEWA Dubai, TenneT, Vattenfall, Fluxys, Dong, ProRail and Stedin. Liesbeth holds a M.A. in Culture, Organization & Management (Social-Cultural Sciences) and a higher professional degree in Human Resource Management.
Carsten is a senior consultant at UMS Group Europe with 20+ years’ experience of working in the German Energy Market both in technical and project management. Prior to UMS Group, Carsten worked for PLEdoc, a subsidiary of Open Grid Europe, the largest gas transport company in Germany, where he executed projects inside and outside of Germany. Carsten has maturity knowledge in the areas of Asset Management (ISO55000, PAS55), Asset Information (e.g. Network Information Systems (NIS) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM)), Quality Management (ISO 9001), Project Management and Leadership.
Peter is a Senior Consultant at UMS Group Europe. He holds a Master’s Degree in Energy and Environmental Sciences and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, both from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). Prior to joining UMS, he worked for TenneT TSO BV. His main strengths are performance analyses, project management and results reporting. He is a strong communicator and he is able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels within an organization.
He has ten years of experience in the utility sector and has delivered projects across the entire energy value chain (transmission, distribution, production, industrial consumers, new market entrants), in key consultancy disciplines covering strategic asset management, risk and portfolio management, energy costs analyses, business case modelling and optimizing flexibility.
Jeannette is office manager at UMS Group Europe. She assists the management and consultants in their sales and marketing activities. She is also responsible for logistics, administration and communication and organizing events and workshops.
