Ed de Vroedt
Mike Mischkalla Schoen
Ed joined UMS Group Europe In September 2007. He has over 20 years of international consulting and management experience serving the energy and utility sector and has significant in-depth knowledge of the international utilities sector.
Ed’s focus is on business and project leadership of strategic asset management, Risk and Portfolio Management, Benchmarking, Management systems and transformation projects for a global range of electric, gas, rail and water utility firms.
As director of UMS Group Ed is responsible for our global learning program IDBC for electricity and gas distribution companies. Further Ed has managed numerous international projects especially in Asset Management transformations.
Prior to UMS Group Ed fulfilled managerial roles within an Energy Utility company and management consulting roles within a global ICT company. Ed holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration (Management of Innovation) from the Rotterdam School of management, Erasmus University and a Bachelor degree in Engineering.
Liesbeth is Senior Associate at UMS Group Europe. Liesbeth is a team player who enjoys supporting and coaching others. She is results-oriented and has developed a good balance between being human and task oriented. She is enthusiastic and creative in approaching and solving issues and is also inquisitive, analytical and open to innovation.
She has more than a decade’s worth of experience in international consulting for a global range of electricity and gas utility firms. She has focused on strategy projects and implementation of strategic asset management. She has extensive knowledge and experiences in the areas of implementing management systems PAS 55, ISO 55000 and NTA 8120, strategic asset management, asset risk and portfolio management, change management and project management. She is Endorsed IAM Assessor and performed numerous ISO 55000/PAS 55 assessments, -transformation programs and training sessions, at a.o CEM Macau, DEWA Dubai, TenneT, Vattenfall, Fluxys, Dong, ProRail and Stedin. Liesbeth holds a M.A. in Culture, Organization & Management (Social-Cultural Sciences) and a higher professional degree in Human Resource Management.
Mike joined UMS Group Europe in 2014 as Director and is providing strategic and tactical project management on value chain enhancement and is empowering UMS Group in the German speaking markets. He has in depth knowledge in gas transport and distribution concerning regulation, sales processes, balancing and capacity management. Prior to UMS Group, Mike was in various positions within the E.ON corporation and new market entrants. Mike holds a university degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Dortmund.
Carsten is a senior consultant at UMS Group Europe with 20+ years’ experience of working in the German Energy Market both in technical and project management. Prior to UMS Group, Carsten worked for PLEdoc, a subsidiary of Open Grid Europe, the largest gas transport company in Germany, where he executed projects inside and outside of Germany. Carsten has maturity knowledge in the areas of Asset Management (ISO55000, PAS55), Asset Information (e.g. Network Information Systems (NIS) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM)), Quality Management (ISO 9001), Project Management and Leadership.
Diego is a Senior Associate at UMS Group Europe and an experienced management consultant, advising energy sector organisations on how to improve their overall performance by using PAS 55 and ISO55000 standards for optimal management of their physical assets.
Diego has worked within many areas connected to Asset Management within the energy sector, e.g. IT development projects, mergers & acquisitions, divestments, corporate strategy, asset management strategy and strategic investment procurement.
He has worked with many parts of the energy sector, e.g. nuclear power generation, hydro power organisations, wind power, thermal power, electricity distribution, heat generation and distribution in many European countries.
He has most often acted as project manager for large multinational process improvement and change management projects, specifically within the Asset Management area.
