John M. Shearman
Chief Executive Officer
Jack has more than 30 years of consulting and management experience serving global electric
and gas utility markets. His special focus is on Deregulation, Competitive Positioning, and the Management of Change. He also has extensive expertise in strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and asset and performance management. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and is well known for his perspectives on industry strategic directions.
Prior to founding UMS, Jack was a senior member of Booz Allen & Hamilton’s utility practice.
He also served for 11 years in various leadership capacities at two major U.S. east coast utilities. Jack holds a professional engineer’s license and an M.B.A. in finance from New York University.

Michael J. Scholtens
Managing Director - Americas
Mike has been involved in the North American power industry for over 25 years. His experience includes executive leadership of both private and public companies engaged in management, engineering, project development, financing, operations and maintenance services for power generation plants and power delivery systems.
Mike holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and he is a registered professional
engineer (both Mechanical and Nuclear) in the State of California.

Robert J. Champagne
Global Leader -
Performance Optimization Solutions
Bob is a Vice President at UMS
Group Inc., heading its Performance Management
Consulting Practice. He has over 20 years of
experience in the performance management arena
ranging from corporate strategy and goal
development, to the installation of KPI tracking and
reporting systems, corporate diagnostics/opportunity
assessments, and benchmarking/best practice
identification. He has worked with over 100
organizations across numerous industries, functions,
and geographies.
Prior to joining UMS, Bob served as Chairman and CEO
of e Performance Group International LLC, a private
company specializing in the development and
deployment of performance management tools and
technologies. Before founding ePGI, Bob held several
leadership positions with UMS Group North America
which spanned a ten year period from 1990-2000.
Before joining UMS in 1990, Bob served as a senior
consultant in KPMG's Operations Management
Consulting practice in Houston, TX, and held
numerous internal consulting positions with Entergy
Corporation in Texas and Louisiana. Bob is a native
of New Orleans and holds degrees in Operations
Management and Internal Auditing from Louisiana
State University.

Jan Schipper
Managing Director -
Europe
Jan has 14 years of management and consulting
experience in energy and utilities and he has
extensive knowledge in strategic planning,
investment-, maintenance-, risk management, and
management of change. His focus area is in asset
management and restructuring programs in the energy
and utilities markets.
Prior to joining UMS, his experience includes 6 years
(senior) management in a power generation company, 3
years of management consulting at a global ICT-company
in the international energy markets, and 5 years the
managing director Asset Management of Infrastructures
(Electricity, Gas, Water) within Energy Company Nuon in
the Netherlands.

Regnerus J. Coops
Managing Director -
Europe
Reg has 18 years of international experience as a
management consultant and has an in depth knowledge
of the international utilities sector. His
experience is to be found in Asset Management
projects, Utilities market restructuring programs,
Business process (re)engineering and IT
architecture.
Prior to joining UMS he worked at Capgemini where he
participated successfully as a lead consultant/content
expert in several international projects to develop and
implement an asset management framework, and the design
and implementation of the asset management business
processes enabling technology architecture.

Anthony P. Saker
Managing Director -
Asia Pacific
Tony has over 20 years
experience in the infrastructure and utilities
industries worldwide. Tony has been with UMS for
over 10 years project leading and product developing
a number of complex strategic asset management,
optimisation, contract management, benchmarking, and
operational projects for a global range of electric,
gas, and water utility firms. In particular his
clients include all major urban Australian utilities
and a vast majority worldwide from the UK, Europe, New
Zealand, USA, China, South East Asia, and the Middle
East.
Tony is a Chartered
Professional Engineer holding a Degree in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Sydney and also holds a Graduate Diploma of
Management and is a member of the Australian Institute
of Management and Australian Institute of Management
Consultants.
